BIO

I have been an active musician, songwriter, performer, vocalist and lead guitarist here in the San Francisco Bay area for over 25 years. 
My song range form hard rock to acoustic. The songs are energetic, aggressive and fun melodic hard/rock/lite rock/acoustic songs. As a vocalist, I have fronted the progressive band, Zero Hour band, Madman’s Lullaby and Crush (Bon Jovi tribute). 

I have released several cds over the past several years; “Tony Ortiz, Live in Okland; Tony Ortiz, Follow With My Love; Tony Ortiz, Almost Acoustic; Tony Ortiz, Back To Avalon; Tony Ortiz, Seasons.”

As vocalist, I sang on Zero Hours (progressive metal band) self title cd and Madman’s Lullaby, New Beginnings.

As of my current releases, you can visit all music platforms to here my new singles, “After All and For the rest of our lives,” and my full length cd, “Metal it up” I will be releasing several works including a full length cd, “Melodic Acoustics and Tony Ortiz Live Acoustics in Gilroy.”

Vocally, Tony has been classically trained and he has been singing for over twenty years in musicals, solo performances and rock bands in the San Francisco Bay Area.

My vocal style and sound is edgy, yet smooth and wet as I feel that I don't sound like anyone else There's also a raspy tone in the middle register of my voice as well as high piercing notes in the higher register. He emphasizes on articulating words and lyrical phrases in order to be clear.
